Ah, another week has passed by, just like that, and we all wonder how it passed by so damn fast. This particular week was extremely unfulfilling for me. Let's review. Harsimrit and I spent countless hours completing the spine (What is this? I shall let the suspense kill you, -evil laughs-). Then, just when everything looked good, and with the spine garnering a lot of attention, we were told by a particular oh so annoying teacher that we wouldn't be allowed to sell it during Canteen Day because societies were not allowed to sell anything, which made absoluetly no sense. She said, "no nonsense like this from clubs...bla bla bla...why is that boy not wearing a shirt?" Canteen Day was meh, and let's just leave it at that.......about 5 new rumors have started, what's up with rumors anyway? I should do a blog post about rumors one day. Utter crap, and yet some many of us are captivated by the mystery and curiosity that surrounds each rumor. Rumors can dissolve any bond or friendship you have with someone like a flesh eating virus from hell. In short, this week was horrible, with absolutely nothing to be happy about, but rather so many things to be pissed of about. Plus, the week isn't over, and I know today is gonna be totally screwed up cause I'm gonna disappoint someone, and maybe 2, or 3 people. Oh, and trials are less than a month away, what joy! After 2 weeks, I still haven't received a single comment. =D You guys rock =P

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Review

Let me just say that hype is a funny thing. The 6th movie in the Harry Potter series was supposedly the best so far, according to many reviews that I came across prior to the movie. Walking into the cinema, I expected to be blown away, and, after approximately two and a half hours later, with the credits rolling, I still did not get that feeling, not even an ounce of it. Walking out, I wondered if I should have played 2 games of pool instead, it would have definitely been a more entertaining experience. What was wrong with the movie. Well, for starters, absolutely nothing happened throughout the movie, well, except for one 'thing', which happened in the last 10 minutes, but that was it ! Now, I did not expect anything Transformers-esque with Harry Potter. I didn't expect huge fight scenes every 5 minutes, nor did i expect Megan Fox to pop out in a skimpy outfit and pout for the whole world . But what I got instead was utter rubbish. Every scene could be described with one word, boring. The dark tone supposedly amplified in this movie was nowhere to be seen. The score (music) for the movie gave it a little bit of hope, but it was countered with one boring scene after another. If there was a story to be told fine. But the story was bland, with the BIG reveal to who the half blood prince was turned out to be disappointing. They mentioned it, and just moved on (WTF?). Another big complaint I have with Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the romance in the movie. This movie 'supposedly' ( and I stress the word supposedly ) finally shows the dudes and gals from Hogwarts finally maturing and falling in love, except, the make a huge deal over a small kiss. I mean, come on, aren't Harry, Ron and Hermoine supposed to be 16 or 17, and the amount of fuss made over a kiss (snogging in the movie) would make you think they were about to have sex. Watching Harry Potter was like watching clothes dry, the atmosphere totally sucks, it's slightly funny, the story is utter crap, and there isn't any action what so ever. You're better off watching paint dry.

You'll love

  • Learning the term snogging (kissing)
  • Making fun of Dumbledore
  • Throwing popcorn at people in front of you to cure your boredom
You'll hate
  • Absolutely no action
  • Absolutely rubbish story
  • Everything about the movie, until the credits roll, where the torture finally ends.

Lucas has a blog ! =D

As Mark Twain once said, "All you need is ignorance and confidence and the success is sure". And so, ignorant to the fact i don't really know what I'm doing, but still confident, I know have a blog! I have many views to share with the world, but I shall start with good ol' Malaysia. What couldn't go wrong? The education system lies in shambles, it's already fragile state made worse by the fact it's back to BM in a few years. Sports wise, other than Nicol David, uh, I mean Datuk Nicol David, u could say we don't have much going for us at the moment. But, I am not here to ridicule our country, you guys are already doing a mighty fine job ;D What I would like to point out is the music scene in Malaysia, or rather how well it's doing. Mawi aside, there are many Malaysian artists who are internationally renowned, namely Joe Flizzow. Sure many people have heard of him, but how many of you knew his real name is Johari Ishak? His knew album, The President is superb, and his lead single, All Around My World is very impressive. As Malaysia's hip hop ambassador, Joe Flizzow is living proof that there is hope for Malaysia, along with the band, Bunkface(the name doesn't help though). Support your local air waves people, Malaysia deserves a break and, music wise at least, there is a glimmer of hope for our ailing country. Generally speaking, many people count Malaysia out when it comes to music, but then again, all generalizations are false, including this one.
